Policies

Please follow these policies to help us ensure that everyone’s experience is safe and awesome!

+ Booking and New Waivers

Classes go live every Sunday at 2 pm for Tuesday through to the following Monday. Classes must be booked with credits or an Unlimited Membership.

Unlimited Monthly memberships can be used for any in person and Zoom classes. Unlimited Early Access Memberships include early access to sign ups (Fridays at noon) and our RIDE at-home platform.

All clients are required to sign our new digital waiver prior to class which will be sent to you via email.

+ Choosing spots in classes

You will choose a bike in the cycling studio when you sign up. We recommend that first time riders and riders with under 20 classes choose bikes in the second or third full rows.

We do reserve the right to reassign your spot to ensure every guests’ experience is optimal and that your instructor can support the whole class. Annex class spots are chosen at the start of class.

+ Cancellation Policy

You must cancel your spot in class by 6 pm the evening before the date of the class to avoid a penalty.

If you late cancel after 6 pm the evening before class, you will lose the class credit, or, in the case of an Unlimited Monthly membership, incur a fee of $18.

If you no-show, you will lose the class credit AND incur a $10 no-show fee or $18 fee with a membership.

Please cancel your reservation via the app or website. No phone or email cancellations.

If you aren’t feeling well or have an emergency, please email info@rideoaklandcycling to explain your late cancel and we will waive your penalty for special circumstances.

+ All the stuff – Shoes, Towels, Water

Please consider buying your own cycling shoes! We have them for sale and the cost is discounted for RIDE O peeps. Email here if you would like to order a pair. We WILL provide rental shoes to those who need them. Please specify what size by using the “add-on” feature on your app when you sign up so that we have them ready for you.

Bring your own filled water bottle. We will also have bottled water for sale if you need it. Towels will be provided.

+ Arrival Policy and Check-in

Please arrive 10 minutes before class to allow for check in and bike set up. We reserve the right to give your bike to someone on the wait list if you are not on your bike at the start of class time. If you are running late, call us at 510-858-5447 and we will hold a bike for you for up to 5 minutes. No entries into the cycling room after 5 minutes past start time.

Bring limited belongings and put them in the cubbby labeled with your bike number.

If you need to purchase water or borrow shoes, do so on the app prior to class and we will have them ready for you at your assigned bike or cubby.

+ During Class

Please stay for the length of the class! It's disruptive to other riders to leave early (and why would you want to miss that last sprint??) All classes are 45 minutes. Phones on silent and put away in your cubby. Enjoy every moment.

+ Cleaning Procedures

Bikes, shoes, and weights will be thoroughly cleaned by our staff following class. There will be alcohol based wipes available to you for general use.

+ If You Are Feeling Sick

We all know the drill…please stay home if you are feeling ill or have come in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID. We will return credits for illness. Thank you! We can’t wait to see you on a bike!
